Bahrain Reports Repelling 75 Iranian Missiles, 123 Drones
The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force said in an official statement that its air defense systems "continue to confront successive waves of Iranian attacks," painting a picture of a military stretched across an unrelenting operational tempo.
Civilians bore the brunt of urgent warnings. Authorities instructed residents "to remain indoors and leave their homes only when absolutely necessary while observing maximum caution to ensure their safety." The public was further cautioned "to stay away from damaged areas and any suspicious objects, avoid filming military operations and refrain from photographing locations where debris has fallen."
The statement stopped short of confirming whether any intercepted missiles or falling debris had struck Bahraini territory or inflicted damage on the ground.
Bahrain's military took a pointed legal stance, declaring that the targeting of civilian infrastructure and private property through ballistic missiles and drones amounts to "a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and the United Nations Charter." It further condemned the strikes as "indiscriminate," warning they represent a direct and destabilizing threat to regional peace and security.
Iran has been firing missiles and drones at Israel and Gulf states hosting U.S. military installations since Feb. 28, with several strikes causing confirmed casualties and inflicting damage on civilian sites, including ports and residential neighborhoods.
Tehran maintains the offensive is a direct response to a joint U.S.-Israeli military campaign against Iran — one that has claimed hundreds of lives, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and key figures within the country's top military command.
