Tyson Fury Back to Boxing
The British boxing star made the announcement Sunday via Instagram, stating: "2026 is that year. Return of the Mac. Been away for a while but I'm back now. 37 years old and still punching. Nothing better to do than punch men in the face & get paid for it."
Fury's most recent bout took place in December 2024, resulting in his second consecutive loss to Ukrainian heavyweight titleholder Oleksandr Usyk during their highly anticipated rematch. The defeat prompted the 37-year-old to declare his retirement from professional boxing approximately one month afterward.
The two-time world heavyweight champion initially captured the title nearly a decade ago in 2015, dethroning Wladimir Klitschko, also from Ukraine, in a career-defining victory. Fury's decision to return signals yet another chapter in the turbulent career of one of boxing's most unpredictable figures.
